From NYTIMES:
“…City Opera said the unions had “refused to budge” from their position despite the offer of hundreds of thousands of dollars more in compensation, and the unions said City Opera had rejected a final wage concession by the workers. City Opera said it had no choice but to lock them out since the unions had promised to strike when performances begin, so it could not pay for rehearsals.”
We say: What about the people? We get hurt the most! We are getting deprived out of good quality opera in the city!

Classic. Don Giovanni by Mozart.
Singing: La Ci Darem La Mano at the Metropolitan Opera in 2000.
Love the attention to detail on the costumes and the wonderful acting. The two have chemistry and can sing this wonderful opera while showing seduction and resistance. Nice. :)

Art by:
installation view of ‘endless’ as part of cai guo-qiang ‘saraab’ solo exhibition at the mathaf arab museum of modern art
Would anyone think that such a traditional art would be so forward thinking?
Or, is it the genera that is forward thinking or just individuals?
